About the Designer

Fashion and effortless style have been a love of mine for as long as I can remember. I went on my first buying trip to New York when I was 12 years old with my Godmother, who was the director of buying for an upscale department store...and the rest is history. My design path started with a Fashion Degree from LSU and has taken me from Dallas to Los Angeles, Austin and Atlanta. I first started making jewelry when I saw Carrie Bradshaw, from Sex and the City, sporting her famous Flower Pin. I knew I needed one, but wanted to put my own spin on the look. Within a month I was selling Flower Chokers to any boutique in Los Angeles that would have me. In a few years, my love of collecting vintage and antique jewelry and medals started showing up in my pieces, a love that started with my great grandmother's (Lena La Rose) antique locket that was my 30th birthday gift. Vintage La Rose was then officially formed in 2002 and I was selling my vintage pieces nationwide.
I have evolved to Fine Jewelry, but still love a vintage and antique look. To this day, I still cherish my collection of antique lockets and medals. I am also the owner of a premium contemporary women's boutique in Atlanta, appropriately named Lena Larose. When recently asked what I would be doing if I wasn't a boutique owner and jewelry designer, I responded that I didn't have a second place choice. I love what I do, and I can not imagine doing anything else!
